Overview:
This role is part of the Product Development department is is responsible for supporting new product development from inception to completion by tracking and managing the process at every step.
Responsibilities:
- Create and manage all internal timelines for NPD for both labs to ensure that products are launched on schedule
- Corporate priorities & goals are met
- Priorities & expectations are aligned cross functionally
- Communication & tracking is centralized
- Dates, timelines, and costs are met
- Key liaison for Product Development team to Packaging, R&D, Regulatory, OPS for timelines & project status
Responsibilities:
- Meet with Product Department team weekly to review status, prioritize, and progress projects
- Own and lead weekly product development and cross functional status meetings
- Manage the laboratory tracker for both labs. Update with meeting notes with updates on: Product, Samples, QA, Packaging, Testing
- Create a critical date list and communicate findings & red flags early on
- Own and issue weekly new product development due date reports to keep everyone aware of upcoming deadlines
- Monitor the development and pilot/production process to ensure samples are on time
- Coordinate samples/information with appropriate departments such as packaging, R&D, procurement, and suppliers
- Manage packaging samples, tooling requests, testing and approval process
- Maintain and organize stock sample, packaging, presentation, and raw material library
- Manage customers, sales, and tradeshow timelines & samples
Qualifications:
- 5+ years project management experience, preferably in cosmetics
- Experience working with manufacturing
- Bachelor’s degree
- Highly organized, follow up skills, detail orientated
- Good verbal & written communication skills
- High energy & ability to multi-task
- Strong sense of urgency
