INDUSTRIAL COMMERCIAL SANDBLAST / PAINTER

Located only minutes from Campbell River. on the beautiful east coast of Vancouver Island, we are a full-service boatyard featuring vessel haul-out capacity up to 150 tons and working room for 10 vessels. With a commercial vessel focus, our boatyard is a newly created division and is set for future growth.

Reporting to the Boatyard Manager, and working as a member of the boatyard team, you will possess the necessary skills to support this full-service enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Preparations for sandblasting
• Sandblasting
• Preparation for painting
• Painting
• Clean up of sandblasting and painting
• Vessel haul out and launching
• Power washing
• Other boatyard duties as required on a day-to-day basis

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with industrial sandblasting and painting
• 5+ years experience working in industrial boatyard
• Industrial painting certificate is an asset
• Strong understanding of all facets of sandblasting and painting on vessels and equipment, including quality control, use of brushes, rollers, power tools, conventional and airless spray equipment
• Ability to work independently and also as part of a team.

Pay is commensurate with experience.

Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
