Shipper/Receiver/ Counter Balance Forklift Operator

Reports to: Operations Director

The Shipper/Receiver liaises with the Warehouse Coordinator to organize the daily workflow of deliveries and shipments in the warehouse. This role contributes to the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of products.


Shipping & Receiving:

  • Load trucks with counterbalance forklift ensuring safe operation
  • Assist with picking orders when required
  • Organize and manage incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of items.
  • Support Warehouse Coordinator to track and proactively forecast deliveries and shipments in cooperation with Project Coordinator
  • Ensure all necessary documentation has been executed for all inbound and outbound goods, providing missing information or paperwork as required.
  • Receive, inspect and account for all incoming shipments, photographing and reporting any damages or missing items upon receipt of goods.
  • Monitor and track all in-transit shipments to ensure no packages are lost


Inventory Management:

  • Assist Warehouse Coordinator in the maintenance of all inventory in the warehouse, ensuring levels are maintained as required
  • Maintain organization and record of all literature and catalogues, ensuring levels are maintained as required
  • Follow the company policies and procedures
  • Suggest any changes to current policies and procedures that would result in improved performance.

 


Qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills to log shipments in delivery in our operating system
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A strong sense of urgency, organized, and focused on client service
  • Able to work well with colleagues, customers, and suppliers
