We are a successful construction and design build engineering firm that is entering its 33rd year of operations, with over 60 employees in the field. We are  looking to add Skilled Plumber/Pipefitter to the team!

Job Duties:

  • Provide full-cycle, in-depth knowledge and support for the profession of Pipefitter / Steamfitter to ensure that general and specific project requirements are met

     

  • Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the type of pipe and tools to use and lay out the sequence of tasks

     

  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, solder, assemble, and install metal, plastic and fibreglass pipes, valves, and fittings

     

  • Join pipe sections and related equipment and secure in position

     

  • Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks

     

  • Remove and replace worn components and do general maintenance work

  • Lay out and install piping, tubing, fittings, and all related components.

  • Install, test, and maintain low and high-pressure steam and condensate system

  • Repair piping systems that carry water, steam, chemicals and other process piping systems, ncluding carbon steel and stainless steel

 

Qualifications:

  • Certified Red Seal Plumber / Pipfettier

     

  • 10+ years of experience reading piping and instrumentation design diagrams

  • Experience rigging, hoisting, lifting, and positioning equipment

  • Oil/Gas Industry experience

  • Physical strength and stamina

  • Manual dexterity

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • The ability to read and understand complex instructions and drawings

  • Able to lift items weighing over 25 kilograms

  • Able to work in remote job locations

  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test

  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and policies on an industrial job site

  • Aptitude fro safety

  • Strong communication skills

  •  Must have own transportation and PPE gear
