Job Summary

We are a well-established commercial construction company in the Lower Mainland, BC. We are seeking a permanent, full-time Site Superintendent to join our team. We specialize in mid-size commercial and tenant improvement(TI) renovations, including financial institutions, healthcare facilities, heritage restoration, and low-rise buildings.

Our projects typically range from $1M to $30M, and we take pride in providing exceptional service and quality work. We are looking for a long-term, self-motivated leader who can manage technically challenging projects under limited supervision.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Single-Project Oversight: Dedicated management ad supervision of one project at a time to ensure total quality and schedule control.
  • Site Management: Maintain a safe, organized, and professional construction site.
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Manage all daily site activities and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Labor Coordination: Coordinate subtrade manpower and manage "Own Forces" labor in conjunction with the Project Manager.
  • Safety & Compliance: Strictly enforce the company safety program.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Interact professionally with clients, users, and stakeholders.

 

Qualifications

  • Certification: Must hold a Carpentry ticket (TQ / Red Seal) or equivalent.
  • Experience: Strong construction knowledge with a background in healthcare, schools, or tenant improvements.
  • Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of Procore and general IT proficiency.
  • Communication: Robust written and verbal communication skills.
  • Availability: Able to perform occasional overtime  work as required by "live" environment project constraints.
  • Requirements: Valid BC driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle (truck preferred) for travel to sites throughout the Lower Mainland. 
    • Mileage compensation.

 

Compensation and Benefits

  • Union Status: This is a permanent union position.  
  • Wages: Generous hourly rate commensurate with experience. (exceeding union rate)
