Our company operates in a competitive global market producing wide ranging metal based assemblies and components across a variety of industry sectors, including: mining, oil & gas, crane and drag-line components, agricultural, machine building, and heavy equipment manufacturing.


Increased over the years, our extensive plant capacity developed to cater for our multi million pound turnover, is spread across four facilities manned by over 200 employees. It incorporates shot blasting, stress relieving, fitting, welding, machining, non-destructive testing, final paint, right on through to our own logistics network, resulting in high value finished items across many diverse sectors delivered right to your door. This is a single source solution for the customer as opposed to using a range of other individual supply chain members carrying out single activities.

We are seeking 20 permanent full-time (minimum of 40 - 48 hours per week) experienced welders to start as soon as possible. We operate on a rotating shift of days and afternoons.

 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent
  • Knowledge of welding techniques, including gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux core arc welding (FCAW), and multi-pass welding
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time within a fast-paced environment
  • Attention for detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Steel-toed safety boots; welding helmet and gloves
  • Current welding certification is required

 

Duties:

  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
  • Interpret welding process specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
  • Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment
  • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
