Position Overview

This position is ideal for BC-based tradespeople who are open to travel and out-of-town work in Alberta. Project may require extended stays away from home, depending on site location and schedule.

Job Duties

  • Lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals, and process fluids
  • Work with carbon and stainless-steel piping systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
  • Perform system testing and troubleshooting
  • Complete maintenance and repair of existing piping systems
  • Follow complex installation instructions and procedures
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with site teams
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Support and promote a strong safety culture on all job sites

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Steamfitter / Pipefitter certification
  • Red Seal certification preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in pipefitting or steam fitting
  • Experience working with carbon and stainless-steel piping
  • Technical Standards Safety Authority (TSSA) certification is considered an asset
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Physically capable of performing demanding work
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work out of town in Alberta

  • Out-of-town work in Alberta (travel required from BC)
  • Combination of indoor and outdoor work environments
  • Physically demanding tasks
  • Project-based schedules may include extended rotations

Travel & Accommodation

  • Flights to and from Alberta are arranged and paid for by Lexon Projects Inc.; alternatively, travel time is compensated for employees who choose to use their personal vehicle

  • Valid safety certifications are required
